Nirvana Counselling

Samantha Robinson

I’m Samantha, your friendly guide on the journey of self-discovery and positive change. Back in 2008, I reached a point in my life where I yearned for something more, a transformation that would break free from the old patterns and mistakes. My desire was to build a deeper connection with myself and foster uplifting relationships with those around me.

While confiding in loved ones brought comfort, I sensed a need for professional support that could truly guide me. Counselling became my refuge as questions far outnumbered answers. That pivotal decision has since become the cornerstone of my gratitude, shaping every day with its influence.

Passionately committed to both personal and professional growth, I cherish uncovering the intricate layers that have shaped me into who I am today. Armed with my counselling training, I’ve contributed to the NHS by offering time-limited therapy, walked alongside women’s groups as a mental health support facilitator, and lent a hand at a crisis centre, offering one-on-one peer support during the crucial moments.

With my own private practice now flourishing, I proudly wear the hats of a counsellor, psychotherapist, supervisor, and a provider of Functional Imagery Training (FIT) – a unique approach that helps individuals envision and achieve their goals. My journey also boasts a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Plymouth.

In addition to my private practice, my commitment extends to NHS England’s Workforce, Training, and Education in Professional Support and Wellbeing (PSW). I work holistically, engaging with young minds and adults alike through face-to-face sessions, online platforms, and over the phone.

My training and extensive experience spans across various domains, but my true specialisation lies in trauma and neurodiversity. I believe in a world where healing is possible, where every individual’s unique story is celebrated, and where personal growth is a journey embraced with compassion.

If you’re ready to embark on a path of understanding, growth, and positive transformation, let’s journey together.

My Qualifications

I have completed a wide variety of CPD training for counselling over the years in topics such as in trauma, working with young people, sand tray, abusive relationships, grief & loss, mindfulness, LGBTQ+ gender diversity and sexual abuse.
